    ‘Tis said his form is tiny, yet
    All human ills he can subdue,
    Or with a bauble or medal
    Can win mans heart for you;
    And many a blessing know to stew
    To make a megloamaniac bright;
    Give honour to the dainty Corse,
    The Pixie is a little shite.

    • I like the 95th uniforms they look rather sharp. In the realm of fiction Richard Sharpe served with the 95th during the Pensul War.

            • I think the french hussars, carabiniers, British 95th rifles and Prussian jaegers look the best in my opinion.

              • This may have been posted before, but I don't care and I think it brings quite a difference to all the other cavalry uniforms that have been posted and it's at a high resolution.

                • I would have to say the french Chasseurs ŗ Cheval look really nice. Other than that the French Imperial Guard and the 95th rifles look very smart.

                          Caption: Canadian Voltigeurs on the march in 1813

                          The companies of the Provincial Corps of Light Infantry (better known as the 'Canadian Voltigeurs') would have looked like this when marching south from Montreal in October of 1813 to take up defensive positions at Ch‚teauguay. Some of the men wear their greatcoats, while others have only their grey uniform coats. At left is an Amerindian scout - possibly a Mohawk from Kanesatake or Kahnawake near Montreal. Reconstruction by Gerald A. Embleton. (Parks Canada)

                          • Excellent picture-very well done.
                            We are not now that strength which in old days
                            Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
                            Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
                            To strive to seek to find and not to yield.
