    • I salute everyone.
      I hope i am not making an ignorant question but, could anyone tell me the prices of some napoleonic uniforms (not in today)?
      I have been trying to find more about it because i would like to do a economic/effiecient comparison.
      I read that French line infantrymen uniforms cost about 200 francs, and that guard uniforms could cost 2000+ francs.
      Anyone here knows how much did the prussian/british/russian/austrian/portuguese/spanish/ other nations uniform cost was?

        • Thanks for spotting that error in the Nassau Troops, Fusillier Base and Ewpeyia. While I try very hard to be as accurate as I can, sadly, I don't always know or get everything right - which is why this Forum is so necessary, wonderful and fun. It is just as well there are so many other enthusiasts out there who are willing and able to share their hard-won knowledge - Many thanks to all you guys (and girls?)........

          • Brunswick Uniforms 1815 A

            Here is a small and sweet set of Brunswick Uniforms for the 1815 Period, that I found on the Internet. They come from the French National Library Archives, and sharp-eyed readers may notice that there is NO Plate 10.
            Quite why this is so, I have no idea, but members may check for themselves via the following link:

              • Some Waterloo Brunswick Uniforms

                If anyone is interested in Brunswick 1815 Uniforms, I accidentally Posted a wee set in the magnificent "Militaria" Thread - I know, I know, I'm going slightly daft - maybe I always have been, who knows (or cares?) - anyway, I'm truly sorry, and thought I'd better pop a small note here, just in case anyone was interested!

                      All human ills he can subdue,
                      Or with a bauble or medal
                      Can win mans heart for you;
                      And many a blessing know to stew
                      To make a megloamaniac bright;
                      Give honour to the dainty Corse,
                      The Pixie is a little shite.

                            • Here are the Rousselot pictures, a couple are without colour, so if you like, you can print them on good quality water colour paper and have a go yourself at colouring them in with water-colour paint for the main part of the uniform and horse, and the details picked out with acrylics, just like the master himself used to do.
