The Confederate Generals was a commission for a friend who wanted to give to a close friend of hers whom I did not know. A few years later to my surprise I would see this piece again in the office of someone new at work. This gentleman turned out to be the recipiant of this commission and had placed it on his desk for eveyone to see.

I know he was a Chasseur a Cheval, and I know that it was light cavalry regiment serving under Napoleon, but I know little else. Why did they wear their outer coats on one shoulder? I would really like to learn about the group as I do the model.
