  • US Armed Forces news in pictures - March 24-30, 2008

    Following sickpup's advice, I'm gonna break the US Armed Forces in pictures thread to make it a weekly installement. Comments and posting of your own images are encouraged, provided they respect the following guidelines:
    -The picture must concern the US Military.
    -It must be fairly recent (less than a year old)
    -It shouldn't be wider than 800 or 900 pixels (If you picture is too large, resize it before posting with an image editor or an image host like ImageShack)
    -Try to provide a caption, if possible.
    -Pictures containing gore or obscenity should be avoided.

        IRAQ - Cpl.         IRAQ - Cpl. Colin A. Hayes, a platoon sergeant, and Cpl. Joshua T. Dawson, a TOW gunner and team leader, both with Blue Platoon, Company H, 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5, move concertina wire out of the streets of Akashat, Iraq, March 16. The wire was replaced with concrete barriers as part of a reconstruction project on the traffic control point that leads into the town. The project was a joint operation between Coalition forces and the Iraqi Police to help improve the appearance of the town of Akashat.
