The soldiers of "Go For Broke" were volunteers of second generation Japanese Americans and the unit was one of the most highly decorated World War II combat units. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Key West

I was stationed in Key West with ADA from 1971-74 and we had a reunion there in May 06. We visited with the Special Forces Commander who awarded us Freedom Team pins and the Special Forces Underwater School is located on the old Alpha Battery Tac Site, my old unit.
The 442nd was indeed, one of the most decorated combat units of all of WW2. My father spoke very highly of their combat prowess as they served in Italy with the 5th Army, which my father served in. God bless'em, I am glad to see some are still with us.
