I was wondering if anyone knows where to find fairly accurate modern ToEs. I'm working on building a Soviet/Russian force with GHQ models, but I've yet to find a good resource online that has a ToE I can model off of. Any suggestions?

What era? Modern doesn't mean Soviet.

This may be a good place to start.

        http://globalsecurity.org/military/w...sia/index.html

Under Ground Forces you will find these topics.

        Overview
        Equipment
        Types of Units
        Military Districts
        Order of Battle
        Air Assault Troops
        Army Uniforms
        Rank Insignia

Try this one also, but its not as organized as it could be.

Janos: Modern as in last 20 years or so

And I checked around globalsecurity, but they tend to be higher level than what I wanted. I'm looking for from the bottom level up number of tanks in a platoon, number of artillery in a battery, etc.

The russian company is typically 10 vehicles 3 plts of 3 and 1 commander
            3 companies per bn, 3 bn's per rgt....etc...
The russian army generally did not take a crap unless it was a bn or rgt size unit....not counting spetznaz.
            tank regt is typically 2 bn's tank's,1bn bmp's
            motorized rgt 2bn btr's, 1 bn bmp's
lots of arty..rgt size formations 6 tubes per btry etc...

Been out of the military loop for a while but this is what this Cold Warrior remembers....

            glad I could help....

                  Overseer,

I have found that writing to the appropriate service (or their academy, in case of American/Western European) is often helpful.

I wrote to the Russian Ministry of Defense (for different information) - they have replied only in Russian, which I have some knowledge of. Likewise with the German Ministry of Defense.

                  GlobalSecurity.org also has some information.

Half of the old M1 Tank Platoon Manual was dedicated to 80's ToE of Soviet and American equipment, the american hasn't really changed, but we probably have FM's lying around in JROTC somewhere. (Anyone wanna explain why the Army sent us the FM's for the Stryker Battalion and Stryker Brigade? Let alone the Infantry Company and Battalion?)
