    Is there a significant difference between the Sears abridged version of Freeman's work and the original 3 volume set?

      Of course. It's three book that's abridged into one. They always do that with waterdowned versions.

          I have the abridged version but I havent read it yet. If you don't have the time for all 3 read the abridged version. But I plan on reading the full version when I actually have time to read for pleasure again

            The original is one of the classics, definitely read it. However, if you absolutely can't find the time, read the abridged, it's better than nothing.
