  • Thank you and Goodbye Brett!

This is one of the saddest days I can remember in a long time. No it is not like death of someone special or 9-11, not even close.
Brett Favre is football here in Wisconsin and there will never be another like him.
To say I am sad is an understatement, I was sick to begin with and now I feel worse.
Thank you Brett and Ted Thompson needs to go away.

I agree. This guy played with class and selflessness in an era dominated by the sports punk-ocracy.

Football won't be quite the same without him.

Who the hell is Ted Thompson?

Ted Thompson is the GM, he refuses to add any help via free agency (like Randy Moss). In general most Packer fans hate him because he never added anyone to help Brett and the offense out.
He has done an OK job in the draft but we needed an impact guy and Ted will not do it.
He fails to realise that Brett is a franchise QB, a once in a lifetime guy who only had a few years left to play.
I honestly thought Brett would come back for one more year. I am truly miserable right now.
There will be a lot of signs in the stands that say "Ted Must Go or Ted Sucks"
They are referring to Mr Thompson.

Wow watch the newest sports legends when they center on him, brady and manning. He had no class when he started and he never has. In fact his in your face goof around attitude is probalby what got him traded to the Packers in the first place.

Ironically that is his biggest strength though because he put the I'm the best attitude into motion and I'll admit. He is an awesome quarterback.

No class? I've never heard anybody say that about Brett. I've never heard or seen him act like "I'm the best." Are you kidding and forgot a smilie?

                          *yawn*

So, another overpaid sports star is retiring...tell me, what has he done for his fellow man besides making close to 100 million dollars or more during his short career?

I spent 20 years sacrificing my body for this country, and I get a couple thousand dollars a month for the rest of my life.

He's just a guy...who's had way to much value placed on his "talent".

I just hope he doesn't gain 50 pounds then lose it and become a Nutrisystem spokesman.

Don't you think that Favre's asking price made a huge dent in the teams salary cap, thus denying the team the ability to obtain anyone of high caliber to support him?

                            I'm just sayin'...

Actually no.........the Packers were 25 million dollars below the cap to start this year. Brett has also restructured his contract numerous times to help.
