    6. Marcus Allen

He rushed for 2,342 yards, becoming the first player in NCAA history to rush for over 2,000 yards in one season. He also gained a total of 2,683 offensive yards, led the nation in scoring, and won the Heisman Trophy, the Maxwell Award, and Walter Camp Award and was also the Pac-10 player of the year. Allen shares the NCAA record for most 200-yard rushing games with Ricky Williams and Ron Dayne at twelve games.

      7. Jim Brown, also my choice for the greatest running back, at least in the pros, ever. A concensus All-American at both football and lacrosse at Syracuse. He also played basketball.

Pic Not needed he will show up in the NFL

I might be a wee bit biased as an UGA fan but Knowson had all those qualities you cannot teach. The spin moves, the leaps, the hits, and when to do them.

You need one more running back. A baker's dozen is 13. And whoever makes the 13th pick, chooses the next category.

It pains me to include him, but he belongs more than some on the list:

                      13. O. J. Simpson

Next category, funny and irreverant sports quotes!

Here is an of example from Casey Stengel (yeah we could do one on him alone) on the Mets, "Can't anybody here play this game?"

                      1. Dick Stuart

A first baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates and others nicknamed Dr. Strangeglove and whose personalized license plate read E3, "Fielding is something they make me do to get another turn at bat."
