  • 2013 NHL Season

Kicked off today with the raising of a banner. Repeat after me:

I'll miss Detroit, in a weird way though.

'hawks are tough indeed, but I agree with the chain of thought on repeating being far more difficult than winning the first one. Look out for the Mighty Flightless Birds!

    LETS GO PENS!!!

And Lord, if the boys from the 'burgh can't win it, at least keep that root gobbler Ovie the hell away from the cup!

    Regards,
    Dennis

What's the deal with icing this year?

Some kind of new rule to prevent injuries from contact on the boards by two players chasing the puck. Basically the ref can decide who would get to it first. Kind of like deciding the winner of a race before anyone crosses the finish line.

          Just loooooooooooonacy!

The new icing rule essentially moves the icing line(imaginary) up to the circle hash marks on either side of the net.

Sounds alot like college no-touch icing rules.
If you can't set a good example, be a glaring warning.

First time I've seen a goal awarded in a while; not exactly the way I like to see the Hawks get a win, but I'll take it. Took an OTL on Saturday besides. :/

The Mighty Flightless Birds are now 3-0! Great game to watch. The Child Bride was away so I could curse loudly to my hearts content! Hat trick for Jokinen!

                          ^

Friggin' Rangers have given up fifteen goals in two games. The only things tolerable about it are that Torts' Canucks are a game over .500, and that I haven't purchased tickets. I always knew that Vignault was an underachiever.
