      Better... It be Rugby!

Rugby football, the second greatest gift to mankind from the hallowed halls of Rugby school (behind Frederick Courteney Selous), known as Rugger, because, well, people who go to Public schools like to put 'er' on the end of things. 'Soccer' was known as such in Britain long before the trans-atlantic differences over the term arose, If'n I'm not mistken.

I'll be backing England this year, but I also have a soft spot for plucky underdog Italy. Can't back France (good lord no) or Ireland (where the scary news comes from) or Scotland (not with this seperatist Biznai on the go) as for Wales... <.< >.>

I saw the Matt Damon movie a while back. Rugby reminds me of when us boys in the old hood played tackle Football in the rain and mud without pads! We only would play if there was at least an inch of water on the mud! I used to show them how far I could drag 4 or 5 guys before I tired enough to lay down. We were almost civilized because if you did something dirty the rest of them would go home and then who would you play against?

Did you know that your Mickey Rourke is planning on playing former Welsh (out and proud) captain Gareth Thomas in a movie?

The most bizarre piece of casting in the history of cinema ....

I can't really place an accent, although he sounds American.

                          Jennie,

Mickey is not stout enough to imitate an American Football player. He might be able to fake a Rugby player. It is possible that he might be able to bulk up the physique a bit. Mickey has been trying to prove his "macho" in acting roles ever since Carrie Otis started stepping out on him years ago. The dude should have let her go with a shrug if she don't want to stay. There are other model-heiresses out there!

Remember to count your blessings they did not tap Paul Rubens for the role!

Mickey Rourke (whos 60 if he's a day) playing a 6ft 3in tall Welsh Rugby captain who's 20 odd years younger than him? Have you heard Gareth's accent? Here he is on Ellen Degeneres' show.

If Mickey pulls that one off he deserves a dozen Oscars
