  • What do you prefer with bread? A fruit thing.

    Hello everyone.
I became aware tonight, that there is more to eating than barbecue.
What do you prefer putting on a piece of French bread or whatever you like?
It has to be a fruit thing.

I like preserves myself. Otherwise I like to toast it and make hamburger sandwiches.
If you can't set a good example, be a glaring warning.

I like preserves. My godmother makes them homemade. This summer my landlady made me beach plum jelly and that was pretty good as well.

The tomato is a fruit...I'll take a slice of Roma tomato, a little bit of fresh basil, and some Mozzarella cheese...with a little Balsamic vinaigrette...on my French bread...

With a glass of Chianti or Sangiovese of course (also technically fruits)...

                    Does it have internal seeds?

Er.......whats the difference between Jam and Jelly except ones a Brit term and another a Yank one? Preserves tend to have a higher fruit content, so of the three would choose there. I think Uglyguts has hit the nail on the head for me though. Plus pate on toast as its the only way I can eat liver.

I like brie on a nice crusty bread too.

Ah, exactly what I would have suggested!
I however would probably have choosen a bit less complex wine, perhaps some zinfadel or merlot.
