      I had heard about chocolate being a factor in reducing risk of a stroke.

      One fruit that garnishes my cerial bowl each morning is the blueberry;

      "The grandad of the superfood trend, this cute little North American fruit packs a powerful nutritional punch.
      Blueberries are a good source of vitamin K. They also contain vitamin C, fibre, manganese and other antioxidants (notably anthocyanins)
      Valued for its high levels of antioxidants, some nutritionists believe that if you make only one change to your diet, it should be to add blueberries.
      Die-hards claim blueberries can help protect against heart disease and some cancers, as well as improve your memory.
      We've teamed up with the British Dietetic Association (BDA) to examine the evidence to see if blueberries live up to their hype."

      I also have some blackberry as well and some nuts. I use a lot of fruit and nuts in my cooking - not as a health fad, I like the taste and sure, happy with health benefits. The Iranian walnuts available in Kuwait are excellent quality, fresh, oily (Omega-3) and a decent price.

      Bon appetit!

        Beetroot is packed with goodness. I drink beetroot shots when I am in marathon training.

                    My problem with beans and peas is I like to cook them with sausage, which increases the fat and sodium levels. Unfortunately I get too much of these out of a can. I love Red Beans and Black Eyed Peas over Rice! This has helped me become the man I am.
