I must have been 4 or 5 years old when my parents first took me to France.
First time I came abroad and I loved the country immediately: the landscape the food, the language, the people
France eventually offered me the opportunity to liaise with its armed forces 🇫🇷🇳🇱 The infatuation never went over

Did you have to? I'm stuck in freaking Pennsylvania where great regional food is a damn cheesesteak hoagie.. There should be a law that a man can get great chicken and potatoes when he needs/wants them.

I used to live in Bucks County,Doylestown,Pennsylvania.
A wonderful place with wonderful people.
I was only able to eat pizza fries, because I was too short with money but I looked at some Penn specialties and some were interesting.

That could be considered as a deliberate diplomatic choice of words

                    • The best home cook meal I've had as a guest was in France.

It was Ox tail cooked in red wine for 36 hours. There were the usual guests of course, celery, onions, carrots, garlic and herbs, but the meal was intensely beefy and most delicious.

No offense to anyone, this is strictly my taste, but German food and ethnic groups with Germanic background can't compare to the flavors you find in Spanish, French and Italian foods.
