  • BBQ Season

Well its that time of year. I'm marinating some Tri Tip in a balsamic marinade, gonna use mesquite charcoal.

Serving up a side of miners lettuce and tomatoes with a vinaigrette dressing...

    Wild Rice as well..

If you want the tri-tip very tender, add 1 cup of Coke to your bbq sauce. Cherry Coke is even better. Just never ever use diet Coke.

I'd never consider such a travesty.

Of course you could bring it to a game night...

Prior notification is required. (Grumpy cooks hate it when you don't coordinate your dish with theirs...)

I brought Pot Stickers on a night that was a Cuban themed meal...

Tossing some meat on a grill is not BBQing, it's grilling. BBQ requires a lot of time and low temps.

Looks like Pres has the right idea.

A Tri-tip is a small cut of beef that can usually feed two average Americans or one average Texan for a single meal. Alternatively, it is enough for about 50,000 servings from a French restaurant............roughly equivalent to an average meal for one American Pit Bull puppy, minus the elaborate garnish of gay little vegetables and strange reduction sauces of course.

A Tri-tip is a real man's meat. It likes to be rubbed and be attended to by someone that can handle heat and beer for hours while it plumps up with juices, all the while being stroked gently with brushes dipped in sweet concoctions. It requires love and patience. And Beer.

For a less manly BBQ, frog legs are suitable. You can even add herbs!

Why do you need a special season to BBQ. Any case try fish.

It is not due to agricultural seasons. Weather seasons is what dictates BBQ. BBQing is the most enjoyable with great weather.......especially for the cook.

Ridicules. A braai (our verstion of a BBQ only better because of reasons) is a all weather event. I mean do it in the garage if it is to wet.

I still can't find my grill. It may be where the large mountain of snow is out on the deck...
