  • Best foreign cookery programs?

I am more than thankful for Floyd and Delia concerning UK cooking. However, it's easy liking home grown chiefs.

Which foreign cookery program/chef do you enjoy?

I really enjoy Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. Sure the presenter is a little childish, but I love seeing a private business flourishing based on the quality of ingredients, expertise in creating a dish and the friendliness of staff.

Not really my thing. I'll watch a program to learn how to do new things but not that specific about cuisine. My wife does the fancy cooking anyway. My job is to get us through the work week with balanced meals.

Yan Can Cook is pretty good. But it is an American show on Chinese cooking. Yan's Chinese accent is fake. He can speak perfect English, if he wish to.

Watch him cut up a chicken in 18 seconds....

For British cuisine, I like watching Jamie Oliver.

Maggie Beer is popular in Australia but probably isn't known in the rest of the world so would probably count as foreign for most people reading this thread.

Chook is the Australian word for chicken.
