    Hot Buttered Rum

    I've shared this before, but here we go again;
    One pound unsalted butter
    One pound brown sugar (dark is best, IMO)
    One quart vanilla ice cream

    Melt the butter in a sauce pan, then stir in the brown sugar. Be careful not to overheat and make caramel of the mix. Stir in the quart of ice cream, small batches to not cool too quickly. Once blended, place in freezer container and freeze.

    Place a heaping tablespoon(or two) of mix in a mug, a shot (or more) of rum, pour in boiling water and stir well. Garnish with fresh grated nutmeg.

    Scale ingredient amount down for smaller batch, or up for large amount.

    Hot Jell-o

    Not Kool-Aid, but a mug of hot Jell-O.
    Sometimes you want coffee, other times tea, and when it's cold out sometimes a mug of hot Jell-O hits the spot.

    In a mug dump 1-2 tablespoons (your pref.) and top up with boiling water, or tap water and nuke in microwave for 2-3 minutes. Stir.

    Lately been doing lime flavor but also enjoy peach.

    BTW, if fasting for medical lab tests or procedures this can be your 'clear liquid' sometimes, especially when prepping for a colonoscopy.
