  • Just figured why I've been listening to some much rap/hip-hop lately...well, one reason anyways. It's all the old beats/records/samples/whatever you call them.

            • Just picked up (downloaded) the new album Run by Awolnation.

LYrics from the first song, "Run".

Just after I read about that Germanwings flight having apparently crashed as a deliberate action of the co-pilot.

              Great album though.

                        • I've been desperately looking for something new to listen to. New to me that is.

Some big fails as far as recent purchases are concerned. I enjoyed 3 Doors Down's Kryptonite and asked my better half to buy me the album for Xmas. Worse than me not liking it, the kids love it, and its still played in the car to shut them up .

Came across John Christ's album, and its pretty good (B+). However, you need to play it as an album, rather than delving in and picking a song.
Definite influences are early Metallica, Prog Rock and George Thorogood and the Destroyers.

The only real single is 'Shadows', but given the lack of youtube hits, I suspect few have heard this.

I'd give the album a B+, and most of the songs C+.
