  • It is a very old story

"Priam forbade his people to wail aloud. In silence
they piled the corpses on the pyre, their hearts breaking,
burned them down to ashes and returned to sacred Troy.
And just so on the other side Achaean men-at-arms
piled the corpses on the pyre, their hearts breaking,
burned them down to ash and returned to the hollow ships."

    Hearts are still breaking.
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night.

Cool...Homer always goes well. Just glad it wasn't Simpson, for a change...
I have no problem at all with being proved wrong. Especially when being proved wrong leaves the world a better place, than being proved right...

Maybe there are too many Achilles out there, yet no Odyssius.

Well, after all, the Raider of Cities, the Breaker of horses, ... did they SAVE anything? But they were heroes ---- I had always been deeply puzzled by this deep culture root and I am still wondering.
      Attn to ALL my opponents:

If you sent me your turn and after 24 hours, you still did not get anything from me, please be sure to post in the forum to ask for what is going on.

Remember, I ALWAYS reply within 24 hours, even if I do NOT have time to play my turn, in which case I will at least send you email to tell you that I will have to play it later, but I DO receive your turn.
