  • What's your drug (no I'm not actually meaning 'drugs')

Everyone has 'something' that gets them going energizes them makes them feel better etc.

I'm just curious, what is your 'thing' that does it for ya.

Was laughing with my son the other day, mentioned to him I like his trance music, almost like audio narcotics

I find the music is often easy to listen to, and it's good for doing housework to. Also pleasant when working on my models.

Music is generally the thing that gets to me in general. I can't picture a life without music. It's how I express myself. Listening to my music carefully is the easy best way to know exactly how I feel at that moment. Music says what words can't.

If I had one wish, I'd likely blow it on being able to play any musical instrument like a pro.

I don't need actual drugs to get high, just the right tunes will do just fine.
Life is change. Built models for decades.
Not sure anyone here actually knows the real me.
    I didn't for a long time either.

Great idea. My "drugs" are pretty simple:

    1. Opening day of baseball season
    2. Grouse hunting (walking through the woods in the fall)
    3. I'm a sucker for Halloween (and scary movies)
    4. Spending time with my nieces (ice cream treats is a must)

We've started a cigar club here. It's the most fun one can have without access to the the 3 Bs (Booze, Babes, Blasting).

I'll agree with Trailboss, a good hand made cigar with four fingers of a deep, dark, smoky scotch.

I've tried a couple of cigars. Always wonder why people settle for cigarettes.

                      There's such a difference.

But no, I don't smoke. Not an option at any rate. My body hates the stuff.

No, my problem is chocolate withdrawal. Speaking of which I think I need some. I see chocolate covered peanuts in my very near future.

3 days after no chocolate and I start getting irritable.

I must say, I'm glad I don't need to eat my chocolate outside in the foul weather.

                            1. My wife- I was 42 when I got married and thought I was a bachelor for life. Happily wrong!

                            2. My daughter and her son- yes, I wasn't married before but had a daughter. She's turned out great and my grandson is a joy to have around. I miss him when he's not here.

                            3. A good beer! Stout or porter preferably or German pils or an English brown ale or....you get the point.

                            4. Music- Bruce Springsteen foremost but not limited to just him. Rock music in most of it's incarnations.

                            5. Reading history! Almost any history that catches my eye.

                            6. Fishing- it's starting to warm up here and the 70ft. of snow is melting. I'm getting the itch.
Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
