  • My apologies...

...to anyone offended by my point of view as expressed in the "Tillman" thread. I do not want to revive the sh*tstorm that the thread was threatening to develop into, before it was locked, but to simply say that absolutely no disrespect was intended to the services rendered by any member of the US Armed Forces, living or dead.

I do agree with the purpose of the mission in Afghanistan, and though I may disagree vehemently with the situation that these brave souls are faced with in Iraq, I utterly respect their dedication and sense of duty in performing it. I wish that every single one of them could come home alive, and grieve as much, or more, than any one of you - for each and every casualty.

At this time, I am sure that the issue is still too hot to discuss rationally, so I will not reply any further in this particular thread.

    Thanks for your attention.

    Regards,

    James A Mathews (JAMiAM)
I have no problem at all with being proved wrong. Especially when being proved wrong leaves the world a better place, than being proved right...

Please don't restart this. Jamiam has taken a great step which I appreciate very much. Let it die here.

Never had any intention of restarting anything.
But you are right! I will edit out the second line of my first paragraph.

Well said Jeff although I wasn't involved in the original thread, it did manage to escalate quite quickly.
