  • Gotta love Google

Google's database has improved slightly since this was taken, but there's still almost 1000 times as many hits for defeat as for victory.

    Dan,

If you try it in French ("victoires militaires françaises"), you'll get 37 hits

But if you try "défaites militaires françaises", you'll get only 24 hits

Actually I got 57,800 for 'french military victories' and 27,200 for 'french military defeats'.

The US are the only nation who has ever won any wars...all those stupid white men across the ocean have always lost their battles...until the US came and saved their asses.
AND the US has always won without casualties, as somebody pointed out there are no more pictures of US casualties to find anywhere on the net.

Like in "1984" history is being rewritten...constantly, and always by the victors. Ever imagined how the history of WW2 would be taught in schools nowadays if Hitler had won? (sorry for the comparison but I do not compare him to anybody!!)

now seriously, it was just a thought that crossed my mind when I read these astonishing figures of hits on defeats and victories that there has to be a big conspiracy behind it...
...I can hear them coming... (and I definetely have to consult my GP)

                        Oddly enough, I've found several.

...well, I wasn't saying that buddy was right. And frankly, I don't think anybody needs those pictures to know that people actually die in a war. Let's just hope it's gonna be more of them then from us.
