  • Gasoline Costs Still Climbing

Despite the swift recovery on the Saudi refinery, gasoline continues to climb at the pumps. Paud $3.20 per gallon today, .30 cents more per gallon than diesel which always runs higher. I wonder what lame excuse Big Oil has for it this time

Gas prices have been dropping here last two weeks. I hit at about $469 at the peak after the Iranian attack. I paid $4.19 last Friday and $4.05 today, and I always use the cheapest no-name brands because they are always about 30 to 60 cents cheaper than Shell, Exxon, Chevron, 76, etc.

Your also overlooking that we are converting from summer blend to winter blend, which also causes a bubble in gas prices.

There might be supply issues specific to your neighborhood that's keeping prices at the pump high.

Nope. Big refinery right in Denver and a freeway all the way to and through Canon City. Meanwhile, gas in the high country, 10,000' or more, is at least $.20 cents per gallon cheaper, while the cost of regular is almost unchanged. Diesel has always been more expensive than even super gasoline for a long time now, but suddenly not any more. Now it's suddenly and inexplicably $.30 cheaper per gallon. It's a gouge, same as it always is. Going to be another year of "record profits" for Big Oil.

Hmm…I filled my tank on Wednesday for $2.33. Must be the altitude there that makes everyone light headed and willing to pay more.

Or, if you live close to the USA border can come down here and fill several jerry cans full of petro, place in your trunk(boot), and roll back up into Canada. Along with the load up on dairy and a few other consumer goods.
