If you drive down the road openly drinking a non-alcoholic beer, can you be ticketed, charged or prosecuted for anything.?

    (open container laws, etc.)

Depends on where you live and whether the local Barney Fife has his quota filled for the month!

If you are in Kuwait you can - non alcoholic beer banned there as tempting people to drink the real thing.

What could one be charged with?

DUI? No. Can pass both the field test and breathalyzer.

Open container in Colorado means alcoholic beverage, and non-alcoholic beer does not meet that standard.

At the same time that you hijack someone else's thread, too...right?

Depends. If, by flaunting and drinking a non-alcoholic beverage you intend to goad a LEO into trying to pull you over so that you can go, "NEENER-NEENER-NEENER! It's not alcohol!" you may fall into the same category of the kid with the realistically modeled toy gun who is shot dead by a cop who perceived a deadly weapon.

"Non-alcoholic" beer may still have a minimal alcohol percentage depending on legal limits on the term, and where you are, it's still somewhere between 0.5 and 0.0x iirc.

Amazingly, there is no hard and fast rules for describing levels of alcohol free beer in the UK. Some definitions conflict with European laws and while there are many calls for the situation to be clarified once and for all, it’s really up to the consumer to read the bottle.
Non-alcoholic – this should not be used in conjunction with a name commonly associated with an alcoholic drink. There is an exception for non-alcoholic wine where it is derived from unfermented grape juice and is intended exclusively for communion or sacramental use. The labelling or advertising of these non-alcoholic wine should make it clear that it is exclusively for such use.

                        Good point.

This is a hypothetical brain teaser, BTW. I'm sure the sheriff and his deputies out here have a solution already in place, or could come up with one very quickly!
