So are we...105 yesterday, running close to it today, but supposed to plummet to 73 during the weekend, which is now here and it's still up over 100.

Not normal here in the mountains. Ping pong sized hail to the east of us.

plum' met: a word used to denote a rapid descent. As in a drop of 30 degrees or more within an hour or so.

Kind of like when you throw stuff off your boat and it plummets into the sea.

Locally today it was about 87 degree,F, and within range of what we've had over the past few decades. Maybe a bit warmer and sooner than in past years, but not out of the usual ranges of the past several decades as I've experienced living here.

Warmer than "usual" or "average" ? ~~~ I doubt it given similar past experiences ....
... but neither cooler than usual either ...

So far, while "cooler" than other parts of the Nation, within usual parameters of our region and cause for no great alarm. ...

Six months from now we'll be freezing our 'gonads' off and wondering if it's Colder than Usual ...
