  • Kerry campaign's new spin line

The Kerry campaign has been all about his 4 month Vietnam War service. NOW, when he is called to account for his ANTI-War conduct all the DNC/Move ON.org activists are trying to spin this as "Oh. that was 34 years ago, that is not relevant today". Funny how the "News Media" doesn't apply that same standard to the DNC generated slander campaign about President Bush Military service.

Sorry but Democratic Party activists must be called on their hypocrisy. If they want to claim Kerry is qualified to be President wholly on the bias of his 4 month service in Vietnam, then they must also justify his anti-American conduct as a leader of the "anti-war" movement. Kerry likes to claim he stood up to oppose "Richard Nixon's " war. He needs to explain to the voters why he didn't stand up to oppose the war when it was John Kennedy's war or when it was Lyndon Baines Johnson's

    Kerry's new line

Yeah, kind of like Clinton's ride on the "Peace Train" back in what, 1968 or 1969, or . . . . . (add your favorite misdeed(s) and/or indiscretion(s))

This is liberal rhetoric to a "T", attack their ooponent while dismissing their own misconduct out of hand. Kerry's willing and enthusiastic collaboration with "Hanoi Jane" Fonda and other nefarious types marks him as exactly the sort of person he is. Just another marginalized reactionary socialist directing his grist mill to churn out whatever leftist newspeak he thinks will draw his followers close to him and, hopefully attract whatever "centrists" are gulled by his soporific musings.

As has been the case throughout my lifetime, if not more, the DNC persists in minimizing the acts of their brethren (remember the multitudes of offenses of Clinton), with, as JohnKnight77 noted, the sonorous refrain "but that was so long ago", then routinely lambast a Republican candidate for similarly ancient "offenses". They do this because they know that most Conservatives will not stoop to their level to engage in character assassination. Only someone devoid of honor, integrity, decency and fair play would engage in such infantile banter.

In Mr Kerry's case, it is more than simply an us v them issue. Knowing that his record is rather less than stellar, he must slink into the cesspool of his mind to concoct and perpetrate his convoluted rivers of lies, half-truths, slanders and personal attacks. This is as much as can be expected from Mr Kerry. Possibbly he will pick his good friend and fellow seditionist, "Hanoi Jane" Fonda as running mate. Really, they could cater to the ultra-leftist malcontented, have-no-life crowd. That may get them a few thousand votes.
