  • Latin patriotic motto needed...

    ...
    - Your Highness, the enemy is so numerous... they outnumber your army.
    - My friend, first I beat 'em then I'll count 'em
(Polish King Jan III Sobieski during his campaigns)

Quid quid latine dictum sit, altum videtur.
"Whatever is said in Latin sounds profound."

Interdum feror cupidine partium magnarum Europae vincendarum
"Sometimes I get this urge to conquer large parts of Europe."

Ad eundum quo nemo ante iit
"To boldly go where no man has gone before."

      Amat victoria curam
"Victory favors those who take pains."

      Dum spiramus tuebimur
"While we breathe, we shall defend."

      Fortes et liber
      "Strong and free."

      Illegitimis nil carborundum
"Don't let the bastards grind you down."

      Imperium et libertas
      "Empire and liberty."

      Potius mori quam foedari
      "Death before dishonour."
"I am not an atomic playboy."
      Vice Admiral William P. Blandy

Dang and here I was thinking Latin countries... because as the "Latin Revolutionary" would say...

        There'll be blood on the streets-a tonight-a!
The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. -Carl Jung

Hell is other people. -Jean-Paul Sarte

            Luctor et emergo

Luctor et emergo (I struggle and emerge)

seems to me to be a Latin patriotic motto very apt for a Pole.

Incidentally it is the age old motto of the Dutch province of Zeeland, indicating its struggle against the water (both enemy and ally) from which Zeeland emerges victorious.

Not sure what you're looking for:

Si recte facias, rex eris - If you do it right, you will become a king.

Nil admirari - To be surprised at nothing.

Deus et patria - God and the country.

Lex non favet delicatorum votis - An action does not lie because of a trifling inconvenience, which would only be regarded as such by the dainty.

Vocatus atque non vocatus deus aderit - Called or not called, God will be present

Audentis fortuna juvet - Fortune favors the bold

                      nemo me impune lacessit

Motto of the Scottish crown, used by most Scottish regiments and generally taken to be the national motto

"no one attacks me with impunity".

Usually accepted to mean, "if you start something I will kill you".
