  • I Seek Approval By The Masses For The Following Picture To Be My New Avatar

This picture was created for me by that Great Avatar Designer, Lokinar himself.

The idea for the Avatar Design was thought up by The Fullness of Montydom.

    Wot say you lot?

Dook, try using this fellow, it's a surprisingly good likeness in my 'umble opinion.

    Is not lost in darkness
    Over the fruitful earth
    And athwart the seas
Hath passed the light of noble deeds
    Unquenchable forever.

My elbow always hurts whenever I pat myself on the back that often Duke.

Having seen your actual likeness you do need to go with the Von plan. Can we say twinsies?

Take the Swastika out of the picture if you do decide to use it...

Imagine a ball of iron, the size of the sun. And once a year a tiny sparrow brushes its surface with the tip of its wing. And when that ball of iron, the size of the sun, is worn away to nothing, your punishment will barely have begun.

A Swastika imbedded into the isle is not acceptable.

IIRC, I think Slugmeister likes to use the Schultzie avatar, sometimes...

Yes, I see what you mean. Is there another symbol that would be acceptable though?

Perhaps an Iron Cross? Or maybe just a German Cross Like what was on The Tanks & Planes? ie:......+

                      That would be OK.

Very emotive things Dook, are swazis, especially in Europe. They all vanished from model aircraft kits at one time and the real thing still flying at air displays in Germany do not wear them.
A repro 190 recently arrived at Duxford for the flying season, it was only in the last couple of weeks that a swazi was stencilled on the tail. It sits in the hanger surrounded by Spitfires... which is as it should be!

Models sold in Germany also have the symbol removed from box art and decals.

                              wrong approach

If I were associated with the infamous "thread that shall not be named" I would not be looking for an avatar, I'd be looking for a 12-step program!
