What exactly do you mean when you say "we" in reference to the Cowboys?

Are you part of the team?

          THEY stomped the Giants.

          Not you.

The Cowboys don't know you, and it's unlikely that they would like you if they did.

Yet there you are, acting as though you and the Cowboys are simpatico or something.

Rather than the Cowboys, why not upgrade and root for a professional team?

Real football: Steelers 34 and Browns 7. Steelers don't use cheerleaders, the owner tried them and the fans told him to fire them.

No stupid mascot except for this year only. It was mandated by the league. Steely McBeam? Da feek kind of name is that for a mans team? Send him to a more appropriate destination, Dallas, NY, DC, or just about anywhere else.

Da Boys need Terence Newman back on the field. Plaxico Burris burned the backup CB badly. The offense looked pretty good. Witten was effective in the middle of the field, and the Cowboys had a decent ground attack.

Many things need improvement though. The Giants aren't a top tier team, and they lost several key players throughout the course of the game.
              1. Even if you could make something idiot proof they would just go out and build a better idiot.

When did winning by 10 become a stomping?

Congrats on beating up a very poor defense. Not much pass rush and horrible coverage all night. You won't see anything close to that except maybe when you face Detroit. You other opponents: Miami, Chicago, New England, Philly, Green Bay, & Carolina have good defenses and rush the passer well. Philly has had a suspect run D for years which might help you some. St Louis, Buffalo, Minnesota, Washington, & the Jets we'll have to see.

Now on to the Dallas D which gave up 35 to Eli who has been anywhere from decent to poor as a QB so far. Good luck stopping McNabb & Westbrook (twice), Brady & his weapons, Steve Smith and Delhomme, the Rams attack, or the Detroit passing game. Trent Green, Favre, Pennington, and maybe even Grossman should be able to pick them apart thru the air after watching last nite's game. Minnesota and Washington can rely on the running game to get by with young QBs. Newman will help when you get him back but Roy Williams is too aggresive and bites on the play action too often and gets burned deep.

If things get rough and the losing starts you better make sure you throw to Owens about a dozen times a game or he'll start his annual whining.

It's official. The Cleveland Browns are the absolute worst team in football. How the F%$# do you get four penalties on one freaking play??? And the punter drops the snap from the center. Could it get any worse? I was on a coaching staff for a 0-10 high school team last year and we never had a play as bad as that one. And these guys are supposed to be pros?? Oh well, at least they stunk so bad on Sunday and it was the first game, so now I don't have to watch them the rest of the year. It's too painful.

Look at it this way, they can only get better.

49ers won a poor game, but it's always nice to start with a win.

Both games tonite were great. Sloppy play but at least they had exciting finishes. I went 11-5 in our football pool along with one of my buddies. Many in our group went 9-7 or 8-8 (including my 18 month old son, daughter only got 5 right though). One dude went 13-3 but no worries cuz he always finishes near the bottom from picking the Packers and Texans to win (wishful thinking on his part most of the time). The leader though is my wife who finished 15-1. Her only loss was the Raiders who actually went up 21-20 at one point but threw the game away.

We've had two or three 15-1 records in the past 5 years or so that we've done this pool but always in the middle of the season once you know how teams are doing. That's insane to do that well the first week when there is too much guesswork going on.
