  • I Saw This World War II Movie Last Night

It had Tracy Spencer & Clark Gable in it.....

No, wait, that was another movie.

It had Tracy Spencer, Van Johnson & that guy that played The Texas Ranger Reverend/Colonel in that John Wayne Movie "The Searchers" in it.

Anyway, Spencer was a Spirit who had to come back to watch over Johnson.

Just before Spencer died, he was out on recon patrol in a Bomb Laden B-25 which had spotted a German Aircraft Carrier & it's Destroyers.

Well, Spencer Bombed it & sunk it & then was shot down by German Spitfires.

Can't remember the name of the movie, but if Germany never had an Operational Aircraft Carrier, then why would they have made a movie about there being one that was sunk by a B-25?????

But the Germans tried to commission one... but not with Spitfires!!!
They did a crap job building it, lack of expertise didn't help... it was a white elephant.

I would have that limo checked for exhaust leaks.

And the Germans never flew Spitfires. We flew Hurricanes.

Wow, that's the 1st Picture of The Graf Zepplin I have seen like that.

I have seen many pictures of it, but not one like that.

The movie is called "A Guy named Joe". I think the movie was made during WW2 which would account for the historical goof. I don't think Clark Gable was in it, but I could be wrong?????
