  • "The Battle for the Falklands" by Hastings and Jenkins

Just picked it up at my tiny neighborhood library. Anyone read it? Good book?

Looking at the "due date" stamps...Nov 1990, Jan 1991, Mar 1991, Dec 1993, Nov 2002. That's it. Not a popular book, that's for sure.

    Hi Monster,
I have read it and found it to be very good at explaining the facts. Not much military analysis. It was sort of like an expanded newspaper article. Mostly from a British point of view. Not much about British or Argentinian submarine operations and although the logisitics involved with the British were mentioned as crucial, it was not explained why in definite terms.

The political moves of the UK, USA and Argentina were explained quite well.

It was well written and found it worth my time. I enjoyed it.
