  • Political compass

Here is test that will test your political compass, which will tell you if your right or left economically or whether you are an Authoritarian or a Libertarian. For me the results were:

    Economic Left/Right: 0.38
    Libertarian/Authritarian: 0.10

Which means that am slightly to the right economically and a slight Authoritarian. Here's the link.

You gotta think positive! Visualize successful integration of church and state, equal opportunity racism, and unilateral government intervention! Just repeat these things to yourself everyday before you go to bed, and you'll be back on your feet, beating the ultra-conservative drum in no time!

I wonder where Jesus would be on this list? Probably around -8.50 for economics and -2.00 on the social scale.

No way. If one studied the Bible carefully, one could see a lot of conservative values, which would be on the Right. As for the economics, the Bible clearly advocates a kind of capitalism, but what exactly the kind it was, we don't know. However, we can easily infer that since Jesus was a carpenter, he most likely advocated private ownership and honest competition amongst the carpenters in Nazareth.

In ancient Israel, she practiced a kind of capitalism as evident by Solomon's several trade agreements with various smaller states. The competition amongst the Israelites were fierce, and many endorsed conservative values. However, at times, Israel did backslide, which meant she would practice liberal values such as open-minded about different pagan religions and other sins. That would be in contradiction with God's instructions.

Most likely Jesus would be on far right for social values and a bit right of center on economics. Though, it's just my opinon.
