  • Just heard H from steps has died...

    When will all this end?

The long toll of the brave
    Is not lost in darkness
    Over the fruitful earth
    And athwart the seas
Hath passed the light of noble deeds
    Unquenchable forever.

All goes to illustrate our malapropian ignorance of the classic languages. H stands for Hydrant but that in fact means many headed - it should be Hydront - source of water. W for water would have been less pretentious.
