The long toll of the brave
      Is not lost in darkness
      Over the fruitful earth
      And athwart the seas
Hath passed the light of noble deeds
      Unquenchable forever.

I love those classic character actors, I think that SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON is the best filmed movie ever.
Did you all know that Harry Carey Jr. had a military education? I thought one of his best roles was one of the bad guys in BIG JAKE.

His dad was a silent film era cowboy star and taught the Duke John Wayne alot of good stuff whenever they appeared together in the same movie, like "The Angel and the Badman."

He had a bit part in one of my favorite Jesse James movies. "The Long Riders."

It is a shame to watch the old cowboy actors go, I do love old westerns.
