  • Scored An Interview!

    A possible interview that is.

I've been in contact with the dev team for 1944 D-Day Operation Overlord, a completely independent project helmed by Ronan Hayes in Ireland, with the developers located all around the globe. It's extremely ambitious, but very real. I've seen the renders, topography maps, and various screens.

Just wanted to know if I should turn this over to Jim, or pose the questions myself.

    For those unfamiliar with 1944...

How will that work while on active duty?
If you can't set a good example, be a glaring warning.

Maybe Marines is a James Bond, double naught spy and you are just trying to blow his cover same as Valerie Plame.

But you will fail much the same as Gary Powers,

a U2, spy pilot in the USAmerica, President Eisenhower, Administration,

who was trained to destroy all evidence and eat a secret agent, suicide pill before being captured.

I think I forgot something. Never mind.

            Anything from the admin here?

This is like talking to a brick-wall. Pfft, I could always turn the contents over to PC Gamer who actually wanted said interview. I just thought this is supposed to be the strategy gaming "nexus", it should have been posted here.

Can I at least have a official answer?

Marines, I'm not responsible for gaming stuff but thanks anyway. I'll see if Jim wants to pick this up with you.

If you get anything like this in future, a PM is always better - Basic Training as opposed to one of the gaming areas might not be the best place to put it.

Agreed, PM is the best way to go. I only make a very quick scan of the headlines when I visit this section, so I miss much in here.

Aye, I'd be glad to chase us down more info! This does indeed look to be a grand venture. I'll be in San Francisco the first half of the coming week, so I'll jump on this when I return. Hoo-ah!

After reading all the other threads I am starting to believe this man is the only sane one amongst us, except for Slug!

Roget that, matey! I'll contact Ronan, perhaps the others dev's. Though this was **** in the wind so too speak, as no one responded, I'll do my best to reaffirm ACGs' status.

Keep me updated, whether here or PM. Though I'd prefer PM.

That does remind me about a long time ago when I was in high school and Xmas Stadler and West Point nominations.

Not for anything, but the way you phrased your original post led me to believe that you had a *job* interview with the dev team. From the responses, looks like at least a couple others got that impression too.

Yes, myself also, thus my remark about active duty.

It does kind of read that way.
