    • I think that all commanders should think of the small forces General Rubinus & myself have under our immediate control as rapid reaction elements, not so much engaged as to be unable to disengage & redeploy as required - keep us posted here of any serious concerns, but also, don't become timid, either... common sense is your greatest weapon.

I'll try and do a PM blitz to get the other commanders in here & to get their plans down such that we might get this thing going.

It would be good to see the entire plan such as to judge the best use of siege engines...

I trust you will Tiberius Decimus, I am merely deploying between the oasis to reinforce, when secure I shall move on accordingly. I don't expect to see any trouble since they are under your watch.

As General Scipius has already stated, I shall move at will due to my small force, but I shall not stray too far from other legions.

          • General Rubinus, I wonder if our timely proximity to the oaisis' & tower might lend itself to covering their assault/securement before we move on?

I shall be with my horse archers...

I have only soldiers who can fight in close proximity, but once the primary defenses of that tower have been breached, I can then offer a lightning assault with some of my cavalry. My 50 light infantry may be better to continue to the first oasis to help reinforce Tiberius Decimus's men.

                • It shall then be a honor to have both Generals in my camp.

However perhaps your troops would be better served somewhere else.

                    • I shall arrive independent of other forces, such that they might be more easily deployed where most needed during the - pardon the pun - more fluid points of Aras securement & then ride hard to the SW - passing within range of the tower. I shall not be staying at any place for any real time such that I ultimately reconnoiter & secure what I believe may likely be the location & outer terminus of tunnels leading from inside the city, or entrapment's along the road leading to its gates...

If we are to poison any waters, it will be only at such point that they enter the city, or if we must leave them to overwhelming forces.

                          Alright, listen up folks...

I notice that some commanders still need to submit their movements...

Please try to get it done by this weekend...

The 1st phase of the Parthian Offensive will start on Monday, no butts or if's...

If certain commands have not been submitted by Sunday, then it will be up to the Supreme Commanders -Scipius and Rubinus- to decide where they will move to !

                          So, let's rock.

My Parthians inside Nisibis are starting to grow hungry !!!

                              • Just to confirm the bulk of my light foot will be positioned between IV-II - Saulius on Mt Tiglaran and IV-III - Tiberius Decimus guarding the SW oasis Charax.

Intention is to support IV-II in taking the tower and to drive off or at least skirmish with any light forces or heavy foot we face. Against Parthian cataphracts we will move close to either IV-II or III, whichever is more suitable and support them with missile fire against said cataphracts.
