  • Adolphus vs Cromwell (Round 1)

Here are some facts for each player to help you in your voting (From Wikipedia):

Adolphus,Adolf, also spelled Adolph and sometimes Latinised to Adolphus, was a popular given name, especially in the German-speaking countries, in Scandinavia, in the Netherlands and to a lesser degree in various East European countries - including among Jews living in these countries and sharing their languages and culture, and who previous to 1933 had no reason to avoid the name.

Cromwell, Oliver Cromwell (25 April 1599 – 3 September 1658) was an English military and political leader best known for his involvement in making England into a republican Commonwealth and for his later role as Lord Protector of England, Scotland and Ireland. He was one of the commanders of the New Model Army, which defeated the royalists in the English Civil War. After the execution of King Charles I in 1649, Cromwell dominated the short-lived Commonwealth of England, conquered Ireland and Scotland, and ruled as Lord Protector from 1653 until his death in 1658.

Cromwell was our only ever Dictator, so for that achievement, he gets my vote.

Imagine a ball of iron, the size of the sun. And once a year a tiny sparrow brushes its surface with the tip of its wing. And when that ball of iron, the size of the sun, is worn away to nothing, your punishment will barely have begun.

Tough one, usually whenever there's a Cromwell choice I vote for him and post the monty python sketch about him.

Not sure what I'll do now.
