Suicide bomber targets Deputy Security Minister
    Fighting in Karbala
    Battles in Kufa

The terrorists must truly be scared of the coming power turn-over, ratcheting up their attacks against the people and agencies that will bring order to Iraq. For with order, their support will evaporate, and they will be marginalized. In fact this may be something of a good sign for, if the Iraqi Provisional Authority and CENTCOM can continue to proceed as planned, it will be an indicator that the terrorists' strategy has failed, that Iraq is on the road to stability, and that all law-abiding Iraqis will emerge from the national long national nightmare that was the Hussein regime.

But will the new regime in Iraq be capable of maintaining order ??
Scientists have announced they've discovered a cure for apathy. However no one has shown the slightest bit of interest !!

Yes, Tigersqn, that is the operative question. That's why the operations, ours and the terrorists, are being stepped up. We hope the "pacify" (read - kill) the worst of the terroriists prior to the hand-over date, while they hope to so destabilize the country that either a) we break our promise and don't hand over power on the designated day (in which case we are "imperialists"); or b) we do hand over power, and the new assembly is so beset by trouble that the country ignites with instability, violence and chaos (in which case we "abandoned" the Iraqis). What happens in the next five weeks or so will set the tone for life in Iraq. We need to so smash, demoralize, fragment and slaughter the various terrorists and extremists that they have to fear poking their heads up out of the cellars and ditches.

              Wedding video challenges airstrike account

Survivors of the wedding party attack have submitted a video they say shows an attack

              Wedding Video

Of course who's to say that the terrorists didn't do this, to try to pin it on us, or just because they could. It's certainly not beneath them.
