  • Literature on the Crisis in Ukraine

I believe there is no truth regarding the Crisis in Ukraine and that everything we read and hear is politics (to put it bluntly). My main interest has formerly been with the Soviet-German War, but I have lately ventured into studying the current Crisis in Ukraine. Knowing that it is still difficult to establish facts about the Soviet-German War even today, I have come to acknowledge that we will have to wait many years before it will be possible to know just part of what is currently taking place in Ukraine and beyond.

Nevertheless, this thread should seek to provide different sources on the conflict (offering different perspectives), starting off with published books. Later on, academic articles and news paper articles can join the fray.

Here are the main published titles concerning the Ukrainian Crisis:

Frontline Ukraine: Crisis in the Borderlands, Richard Sakwa

Ukraine Crisis: What it Means for the West, Andrew Wilson

Conflict in Ukraine: The Unwinding of the Post-Cold War Order, Rajan Menon

Ukraine: What Went Wrong and How to Fix It, Anders Ňslund

Return to Cold War, Robert Legvold

Brothers Armed: Military Aspects of the Crisis in Ukraine, Colby Howard (editor)

The Maidan Uprising: Separatism and Foreign Intervention: Ukraine's Complex Transition, Klaus Bachmann (editor)

Putin's Wars: The Rise of Russia's New Imperialism, Marcel H. van Herpen

I have to admit I haven't read all of them yet, but intend to do so.

Looking forward to share sources and hearing other people's viewpoints!
