the best , in winter anyway, are the ethnic stews that simmer for yours. Scouse, brisket noodle soup, Finnish Blood dumplings, etc.

Their menu seem to differ slightly...

McDonald's are different in every country, and even regionally within the same country. Same goes for the US. Not only can menus vary, but also ingredients, sauces, seasoning, how well done the meat and bread are. Store policy/service also vary. Some places they bring the food to your table. Some places you can even order how you want it cooked, such as the egg in the Egg McMuffin.

In India, where there are so many Hindus that won't eat beef, Muslims that won't eat pork, and Buddhists that won't eat a variable number of things between the different sects, the menu was quite a challenge for McDonald's.

They're very "adult" looking McDs in the pictures there - here they've turned into indoor playgrounds for young children mostly... that just happen to also serve burgers.

No it's not, that would be Japan, followed by China, Germany, Canada, then France. China did not allow the first McDonald's until the 90's and will be more profitable for McDonald's, beyond the US by the middle of this century. Look forward to a lot of fat Chinese people. We, in the US, cannot get this:

You obviously do not work around machinery.

I spend 4-8 hours around machinery or driving per day. Is it your contention that a Quarter Pounder does not leak?

                          • 2nd - France is the second biggest market for McDonald's per head of population after the United States.
                          • 1st - the biggest McDonald's restaurant in the world is located in Disneyland Paris.
                          • €9 - is the average price of a meal in French McDonald's, making it the most expensive in the world.

Weird that countries supposed to be home to the best cuisines are so fond of a Maccy D's

That is my contention. However, with the caveat that I only add onions, and so no L or T or pickles.

OTOH, I like my McDoubles with extra onions and do spill those all over the place.

Now, does anyone have any tips on how to eat an Arby's French Dip while driving?

Once you take out the lettuce, pickles, and tomato, the slippage and soggy equation changes.

I only eat breakfast at McDonald's. My favorite is the chicken McGriddle sandwich.
I usually add-on egg, bacon and cheese to it. And no leakage while driving.

This is what it looks like before the add-ons...

If I want a burger, I'd rather go to In & Out.
