Israeli Airstrike Destroys Russia Today TV Channel Office in Gaza

MOSCOW, November 18 (RIA Novosti) – An Israeli airstrike on a media compound in the Gaza Strip has destroyed the office of Russia Today TV channel, the RT press office said on Sunday.

The office of RT’s Arabic-language channel Rusiya Al-Yaum was shelled by the Israeli forces early on Sunday. The TV channel’s filming crew was not affected as they had left the Shawa building about an hour before the Israeli planes delivered the strike, the press office said.

Hard to believe that was the primary target. Very bad move PR if it was. That's something they really don't need right now.

There were many news agencies in that multi-storey building, including Reuters. Not only the RT office and Hamas media offices.

The fact that it was hit on two separate occasions indicates it was deliberately targeted.

Hardly the best way for Israel to win friends and influence people.

Well, its one way to limit the pre-Hamas propaganda.

Gaza; Too small to be a nation, too large to be an insane asylum.

So, when will Egypt re-occupy it?
It was theirs until 1967, after all...

Does Egypt want the responsibility to police that zoo?

I don't think so. The times where enlarging your country by a couple square miles was an ultimate goal are long gone.

I have to agree. For Egypt to annex Gaza with all of its political baggage and limited economic potential, someone would have to toss in some huge carrots to sweeten the pot.

From my fareastern point of view Egypt after democratic revolution looks not much different from Gaza.
