A leader of protests to reopen Maryland says he's ill with COVID-19

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/a-...?ocid=msedgntp

One of the founders of ReOpen Maryland, a movement that pressured that state's governor to end his stay-at-home order, said he is ill with COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.
I am laughing my mask off (LMMO).

His risk is so low that it isn't worth mentioning, but karma is indeed the Dark Lady. Hopefully, no one will riot and interrupt to the power at his hospital.

Taking delight at someone's misfortune is so Trumpish, Right now a lot of the surge in cases is coming for the protestors. I don't see anyone here laughing their masks of at them.

I have no sympathy for anyone who ignored the warnings and did not behave accordingly.
Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.

Well, last I looked, those protesting now aren't out there protesting a frivolous cause to reopen the United States before it was ready and the majority are at least wearing masks.

And when any of those at the Trump rallies come away with it COVID-19, I'm going to laugh my mask off at them too.

            oh and btw:
http://Black Lives Matter protests haven't led to COVID-19 spikes. It may be due to people staying home.

There is no evidence yet that the wave of Black Lives Matter protests across the U.S. sparked COVID-19 outbreaks in the more than three weeks since they began, according to a study published Monday by the National Bureau of Economic Research.

The spike is COVID-19 is driven by reopening the United States by Trump before it was ready.
However, that said, I don't doubt these protests will eventually lead to COVID-19 spikes.

Sometimes you just have to apply critical thinking.

The MSM is now reporting that opening the states has caused an increase in COVID cases yet mass demonstrations, rioting and so on has had no effect on the increase.....

              Seriously,is anyone here buying this?
"I don't discuss sitting presidents," Mattis tells NPR in an interview. "I believe that you owe a period of quiet."

Pretty obvious that these protesters are among the highest risk candidates to getting infected... Its just sad to think about older relatives he might have killed with his stupidity.

It's all playing into it. Demonstrations, political rallies, and now churches and young folks too...

I think inconsistent and mixed messaging in handling the pandemic is one of the notable causes.

Given the extremely low mortality rate I have no concerns at all for those who develop COVID's, anymore than I dispair at anyone with the flu during the annual season.

As for laughing at the misfortune of others, it's done all the time on television with programs like "America's Funniest Home Video"s, as but one example. We always laugh at the misfortunes of others - Charlie Chaplin, the Marx Brothers, The Three Stooges, circus clowns and pratfalls, and a huge number of movies and TV sitcoms all based on the misfortunes of the cast and how funny they are to the audience.

In this case, there is a huge amount of poetic justice included in the mix, because these people will now expect to receive care from the very establishments that they want to tear down.

And "Trumpish"? Causing problems in the first place is...what? Democratish? BLMish? Antifish? Pelosish?

America should never have been shut down in the first place. The "pandemic" is not, and never was, a serious threat of any kind to America, unless you expect America to shut down every flu season, every cold season and every time some Democrat has another hissy fit.

In your opinion, what would be the tipping point (perhaps in terms of deaths, or other factors of your choice) for when it would start becoming a serious threat?

Sure. ANYTHING from fake news and opinion pieces against Trump is holy scripture written in stone for TDSers.

Trump didn't open anything, That is left to the State and Local governments, but nice try with TDS media. Got any thin else, maybe from Van Jones, Mother Goose, and Rachel Madcow?

The biggest age group hospitalized and positive in the recent rise are 20-29yo. Denial is not a river in Egypt.

Except when things go well. He'll always take credit for that though...
