  • Framework for Healthcare

    Last year Trump declared...

“THE REPUBLICAN PARTY WILL SOON BE THE PARTY OF HEALTH CARE. YOU WATCH.”
    President Donald J. Trump, March 23, 2019

Since his declaration, I've been waiting for a preview of their game plan.

This is the RSC's framework for personalized, affordable care.

It's certainly a good start. Doing research openly and sharing that research with the public. Instead of forcing a vote before we can find out what's in the bill.

Really no point in Trump starting health care right now when the Democrats are going to throw out everything for some version of socialist health care, and who is he going to work with on it? The Democrats currently controlling Congress who have bitterly fought everything he has tried to do?

It's great timing. It shows that hes working on something viable, which will play better than socialism. Plus he can flog the Democrats in the race on having nebulous plans with no idea about costs or even what their plans actually are. Hes going to make the Democratic candidate commit to a healthcare overhaul plan....which will either be half baked, horrifically expensive, or both.

Americans are divided on lots of issues. But a new national survey finds that people across the political spectrum agree on at least one thing: Our health care system needs fixing.

The “Hidden Common Ground” survey from Public Agenda, USA Today and Ipsos found that 92% of Americans say changes are needed.

The Public Agenda/USA Today/Ipsos survey finds Republicans and Democrats have very similar goals for the nation’s health care system.
