Its pretty clear that you know absolutely nothing about the people of silicon valley. You are projecting your desires and wallowing in ignorance.

The vast majority of "Silicon Valley" are engineers and computer programmers. That means educated in math, sciences, physics and the real world. The entrepreneurs that define the valley also come from the pool of engineers and programmers. There are people from all over the world there. Every single race and religion is present. 38% of the people there are born outside the USA. Trying to represent "Silicon Valley" as a homogeneous block is a tremendous mistake.

I much prefer sexuality being openly discussed as opposed to being "nasty" and missionary position being the only acceptable form it. I think the overall benefit from this all has been positive. For example the reporting rates of sexual abuse have skyrocketed - not because people rape and abuse more, but because it is discussed and the victims are no longer shamed, so they can actually seek help.

And really, where do you see this constant non-stop exposure? Perhaps you spend a bit too much time in nasty internet sites?

You talking about samba festivals or something? Where are you allowed to groom children in the public (or in private for that matter)? Why haven't you reported it?
      Well said!

Facebook is also an example of how social norms with regards to separating public and private life have changed, and this applies not only to the sexual behavior but to every aspect of someone's life. Younger generations have a much different culture compared to older ones regarding what should be kept in private.

Giving a link to demographics illustrates the cognitive dissonance inherent in the cult of equity, diversity and inclusion. A world in which diversity is defined by immutable characteristics while at the same time claiming that immutable characteristics are irrelevant. Like so many other cults it demands absolute conformity while claiming to set people free from conformity.

As I pointed out the irony is that the people, especially those at the top, in silicon valley are by immutable characteristics non conformists. Entrepreneurs tend to be high in openness and low in conscientiousness. That in a way sums up the culture of Silicon Valley.

There is indeed a clash of cultures adding to the confusion with which people view Silicon Valley. People such as Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, even Steve Jobs and Bill Gates do not have the personalities generally associated with engineers. While each in their own way are highly innovative and technically competent the real engineering was done by others.

The people who laid the foundation for Silicon Valley's success were people like William Shockley, a rather disagreeable and anti social man. The kind of people such as Google's James Damore who was expelled because of blasphemy. It is a culture of such contradictions that it would seem that self immolation must not be too far ahead.

That is why I said do not look to Silicon Valley for political perspectives that are either consistent or logical.

It also seems likely we will see another tech bubble burst devastating the California economy. The tech industry is notoriously dependent on profits from intellectual properties not tangible assets. Such a fluid value system can be instantaneously transported to favorable geographic locations. Either through the theft of intellectual property such as China does or by relocating offices and employees. The historical pattern in which MySpace dominates the market one day and is replaced by FaceBook the next illustrates the volatility in the tech sector.

As a person who lives in Silicon valley and a foreign born engineer (but mechanical and not in programming), I agree with what you say. It is just that people in the right extremities of the political spectrum see everybody left of them as "liberal'. So, to them, the whole world has a "liberal bias," and thus even a heterogenous educated population from all one the world is liberal.

The entrepreneurs in the valley are hardcore young capitalists and bright engineers who assume risk and work 15+ hours a day, in a cutthroat environment in which even themselves can not be sure if they develop projects with unrealistic objectives that try to push the technological barriers beyond what they can humanly achieve with the existing knowledge. The popular motto I have heard here among these circles is "fake it until you make it" since often they need to convince venture capitalists and other investors that the developers know how to proceed with their project. These are the "socialist" who at the same time support a better safety net, public education and healthcare, often because they have seen in their native countries that such things can work.

You didn't present any facts either. You made a blanket statement.

As for Farrakhan? What Jews was he referring to? The false ones that Jesus (If Jesus was his name, we can't really know this for sure) warned us about? Was it thus in a spiritual context? Jesus repeatedly warned us about them, didn't he? He even called them out in their money changing temples, three days later he found himself on the cross.

              But I digress.

As a white man I have heard black people call us white devils, but I always want to get the context of such statements...first.

As for antisemitism I would like to make it perfectly clear, that Jews often times have a bad habit of branding people as antisemites when they level critic at Jews, as if Jews would be without fault. Almost to the point of the word having been weaponized.

Now tell me, is that a hateful statement? Does that statement make me an antisemite?

Lastly, and keep this in mind moving forward. You can say what ever you like as long as you don't incite violence, and that's a very good and healthy thing. I also very much prefer to know what people think, rather than having to guess because they are not free to express what they think because someone can't handle either that, or simply cant handle difference of opinion.

Speaking of women and emotions, women are those who tend to try to shut down free speech. Not men, and yes, women will often call speech they don't agree with for...."hate" speech. Now the girls are talking about wanting critic against the female sex to fall under..."hate speech"...not joking. (read: crazy feminists, not women in general)

And of course, the more feminized and vaginal the western world becomes, the more of this we will see. I suppose calling it for what it is would make me...let me guess (i'm on a roll now) a sexist woman hating male chauvinist pig? Something along those lines, yes? Because I mean we can't critic the female sex when they act in a retarded way? Beucase that would be a sign of male toxic behavior. Funny enough thou, when you then ask women why we can't ever talk about the FEMALE equivalent they give you that blank stare of dead fish eyes. You know the look, the lights are on but nobody is at home.

The idea is of course that anything male is toxic (that is always the narrative, if not prove me wrong, good luck with that one) and anything female is good. One exception, and that's when females display MALE behavior and or traits, and when males display FEMALE behavior and or traits. That it is to be celebrated you see, that is to say, dysfunctional behavior is to then be celebrated and hailed as progress.

              Welcome to clown world.
You took my comment out of context.

When someone says "Why does Facebook have to do anything except make money", that comment needs to be directed at the Trump supporters who constantly cry about Facebook doing what's in the best interest of their business. They expect Facebook to sacrifice ad revenue and allow them to post whatever they want. Which ironically isn't a very capitalistic point of view. Again, everyone has to understand that not having any rules = less advertisers.

So, I wasn't complaining about the fact that they want to post hateful material. I wish they could, that way maybe more people could wake-up and focus on building their own communities instead of kowtowing to others. As if they're ever going to gain their favor or diminish their hate.
