Speaking of MIRVs.....how many TDS threads have been started in the past 24 hours?
"I don't discuss sitting presidents," Mattis tells NPR in an interview. "I believe that you owe a period of quiet."

        None.

We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

The failure regarding North Korea and nuclear weapons:

          https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world...cid=spartandhp

When President Trump agreed to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in 2018, flying in the face of all past precedent and protocol, both Koreas jumped at what appeared to be the biggest opportunity in decades to shake up the situation on the Korean peninsula.

After all, for 25 years, U.S.-led efforts to curtail North Korea's nuclear ambitions had been seemingly stuck in a cycle of provocation, panic, attempts at diplomacy with simultaneous hand-wringing about the wisdom of it, and the subsequent unraveling of the fruits of those efforts. Each go-around ended with increased U.S. skepticism about engagement, followed by years of impasse during which North Korea would surprise the world by making strides in its development of nuclear weapons and powerful missiles to deliver them.

Funny because N. Korea didn't launch their first ICBM until July 2017.

Guess you missed the one in 2012 where N. Korea put a satellite in orbit.

If you can put a satellite in orbit, you have an ICBM even if you're not using it for military purposes.

So no ICBMS fired over Japan then.

                  Wrong again.

N.K. is insignificant, they offer nothing in the way of trade except slave labor. If they developed a ICBM would they be able to defend against a counter strike? Nope.
Russia is on the brink of total and complete economic collapse, again. It's military is paid with IOUs their only aircraft carrier is a smoldering hulk.
China is on the brink of a rebellion by multiple factions, demanding western style democratic and religious reforms. Without exports to the US, China's economy would crash and they know it.
Iran is likewise suppressing a popular uprising, in the past two months an estimated 3,000 have been killed in rioting.
Dispite our best intentions, the system is dysfunctional that intelligence failure is guaranteed.
