I can't think of a metaphor; the Democrats are just idiots. So stupid.

[COLOR=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.95)]A 2018 Harvard poll found that 39% of young Americans favor democratic socialism, and even young Americans who don’t identify with the movement overwhelmingly support ideas like Medicare for All, tuition-free public college and a Green New Deal. “Every year, young people are ticking a couple points more left,” says John Della Volpe of the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, who has been tracking youth political attitudes since 2000. “On literally every single question they’re moving left.”

Sounds like BS. A liberal interpretation of a liberal poll. Most "young Americans," whatever that means, probably don't even know what "democratic socialism" is. Is that even a thing? Is that like national socialism? Does the poll say if young Americans support "national socialism?"

Overall it sounds like the same bs tripe that comes out of our liberal school system. Teenagers and early twenty-somethings lean left, because their parents pay for everything. Once they get jobs and families of their own, they become more conservative.

And that has nothing to do with 2020. Barring his death or some catastrophic event, Trump will trounce any candidate the Democrats have put forth.

Good morning Half Pint John. Hope you slept well.
I'm glad that President Trumps rating has gone up. As a Democrat, I'm so happy I voted for him. I love President Trump. Not in a sexual way, but as a world leader. It's a shame that he never got a chance to build the wall. That was a sad day for our country. I used to say that Theodore Roosevelt was our greatest president. Now I pick Trump.

President Trump appears to have emerged unscathed from the first day of public impeachment hearings, with a poll yesterday showing a rise in his approval rating.

It climbed two points to 48 per cent, according to the conservative pollster Rasmussen, which suggested that it was a sign of Republican loyalty and the effectiveness of the party’s message that impeachment was a Democratic witch-hunt. However, 51 per cent of respondents still disapproved of Mr Trump’s performance as president.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

I'd expect that to continue from the second. Yovanovitch proved totally underwhelming offering nothing but hearsay and opinion mostly as a disgruntled ex-employee while Schiff came off as being a total @$$. When the Republican turn came to question her, Schiff changed the rules and limited their questioning to just the ranking member and council rather than let them control their time allotted and cross-examine as they wanted to.

You might note that Yovanovitch is a registered Democrat voter in Connecticut. While that isn't a clear cut indication of bias on her part, it's another one of those sort of unexpectable coincidences that so far all the witnesses called have a 'D' after their name when it comes to politics...
