That's about as useful and meaningless as this, but far less entertaining...

I have no idea. Could it be people are lying? Maybe people think the Deep State is watching and getting ready to charge Trump supporters with collusion?

The polls have the only Democrats that are not totally insane as losing to Trump. Perhaps I'm missing something or I'm just so old I'm totally out of touch.

To be fair I didn't expect Trump to win the first time so maybe I'm not the person to ask but American almost always vote their pocket book so unless the economy slides I expect Trump to win.

I assume that you are referring to the polls that show Donald trump taking a majority of the electoral college votes, as measured against all candidates.

Reg, I think the 2015-2016 polls should be remembered when looking at current polling data.

Yeah.....it's all fun & games until you are on a Zodiac rubber boat, 18 boats abreast, traveling at 20 knots, 15 miles from the beach, 03:30....and all of a sudden a massive school of fish between the company line and the beach jumps out of the water and slaps you in the face.

Socialist policies, such as farming subsidies, would suggest that it's not all going so well. I've seen some indication that his core voters, such as farmers, are losing faith. I think he only has diehard boomers on his side at this point. They're so lost they'd vote for him even if he admitted to eating babies and kicking puppies.

True. The economy was booming after his deregulation and tax cuts. Then he went to his liberal roots and started to implement socialist policies. No surprise, once that happened the economy started to tank.

No, I'm stating that polling a year before an event in politics is like proclaiming there is intelligent life on other worlds.

Sounds like a personal problem since I'd still be on the ship operating the electric plant and sipping a hot coffee...

                        No one here did.

I vividly remember the posts here just before the election results, as well as the primaries and the polls of course.

Quite a number of members here predicted Obama would lose his second election too.

The ACG is not a very good predictor of US elections, quite the opposite

\\\although the polls show an approx. 30 seat electoral college lead for the American democrats at this point- the turn out yield for \

Eh, it's hard to "poll" anything if you don't know who's running against Trump.

That's why I didn't look at the poll exactly, but I get the point...

Is it a given then that there will be no primaries and Trump will just be given the Rep. candidacy ? That's quite telling in itself isn't it, if your remember the bitterness of the previous primaries.

Quite a few egos were hurt there, hard to imagine all the true-blooded, old-school republicans, have just handed their balls to Trump in a basket and rolled over to die

edit, I wouldn't put it past them to vote for a moderate democrat even, just to get back at Trump and watch him crash and burn.

Such "irrational" motives rarely show up in polls.
