  • Any Republicans here getting "Trump fatigue"

Various sources are reporting that "Trump Fatigue" is becoming a thing among Republicans. My question is: are there any Republicans here who are suffering the same, or at least getting doubts.

    Nope.

Got "anti-Trump" fatigue long ago though ...

To be honest, I am tired of the endless and childish attacks on everything he says.
      (for instance: "lynching")

There are lots of things that trump can be criticized for, but when everything he does is described as the new "worst thing ever", the chicken littles screeching about it tend to lose their credibility and I ignore them.

It also puts me on notice of how the other side will treat anyone who disagrees with them though.
While I may view some individual democratic candidates favorably, I will now never consider voting for them because of how their leaders view people like me.
They've made it clear they see me as an enemy and I will take them at their word.

Actually, I'm getting "(fill in here: Impeach, vilify, hate, finger-point, anti-, etc.) Trump" fatigue. The MSM is nearly 100% negative in their reporting on this administration. Nothing Trump or his administration does can be given any credit, even when well deserved.

The Democrats are doing the same. Impeach Trump is a hot topic even in their 2020 presidential campaign which might best be characterized at this point as a 'schizophrenic Chinese fire drill.'

Just the constant bleating, hair on fire, gnashing of teeth that the MSM and Democrats do over Trump has worn thin. I just tune it out now. Okay, the guy's an Olympics class troll and a bloviating braggard with a streak of impulsiveness as wide as an LA freeway. That doesn't make him "the worst President ever..." or impeachable, or a criminal, or some devious super villain.

But, given the link in the OP is to the Daily Beast I think this is what they're really talking about rather than Republicans tiring of Trump in the sense they claim.

Probably as much as most parts of Canada are sick of Trudeaumania.

Perhaps so, as the Op I'm just looking to measure if support for Trump among Republicans is starting to change or be shaken or not.

No. I think he puts himself in the news too much, but no. I do have partisan fatigue though. The republicans think Trump can do no wrong. Despite attacking the 2nd amendment, expanding government, not reducing deficit, not deporting enough illegals, etc. Democrats think everything Trump does is wrong. Despite trying to end pointless wars, not bombing NK, investing in urban neighborhoods, etc. I'm at the stage now where American politics has become pointless. What point is there in engaging with a populace this partisan or giving a damn what they think? No one's being honest. No one puts values before party. So why care.

I largely agree. I agree that Trump has failed to reduce spending or the deficit. I can blame congress too, but the buck stops with trump.

I also agree that the political leaders are not honest. Neither side is honest. (See GOP promises on Obamacare and dem promises on immigration reform)
One thing that I tend to like about trump is that the people who used to run the GOP seem to hate him. Since those people have made a career of of betraying their promises to conservative voters, their hatred of trump tells me he is doing something right.

How could a conservative actually consider anyone from the other side, when the dem agenda is so antagonistic to conservative beliefs.

The dem party can only call me racist and ignorant so many times before I begin to think that maybe they don't like me.

If the decorum of national debate has fallen off a cliff then isn't that attributable to Trump's tactics or do you think the poison-ness was there before him? If the later, then what do you attribute it to?

Do you recall the term "basket full of deplorables" ??? !!!

For decades now, anyone whom doesn't toe the line of the socialist-Democrats is cast by them as sub-human. The DNC burned it's bridges to half of this nation decades ago and will never gain that part of national support until it undergoes major and fundamental change. Expecting Hell to freeze over long before that.

I'm going to have ask for a source on that one -- other than Dick Morris. I've met Dick Morris, more than once, and I can tell you from personal observation that the guy's every bit as slimy as the Clinton's he derides. I needed a friggin' shower after that first interview, fer cryin' out loud.

This comes from the party which has been using the term welfare queens since at least the 1980's.

Wait and see how history will describe Trump supporters.
