To about the same degree we saw with recent "community organizer" and his POTUS delusions.

In both cases, at best, brought together their political/ideological base, but not the other side to their cause/agenda.

    Remember what Lincoln said.

It brings me together, but why would non-Americans be concerned with it.
      My worst jump story:
My 13th jump was on the 13th day of the month, aircraft number 013.
As recorded on my DA Form 1307 Individual Jump Log.
      No lie.

He just doesn't get it-people, the presidency, veracity, etc.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

A trolling post from 101combatvet that added nothing to the discussion and was an attempt to provoke other forum members was removed.

And, your Community Organizer did what?

While the Fake News Media is fixated on blaming Trump for the mass shootings last weekend, they continue to ignore the mass shootings that occur every weekend in Obama's home town of Chicago, mass shootings that are the result of Democrat policies of over 50 years that include the disarming of the law abiding through some of the strictest gun control in the nation as well as playing the race card so that what is left of the Chicago Police Force will only show up to file a report. I will even use Progressive approved news source to prove my point.

So many were shot that the number of victims overwhelmed local hospital emergency rooms forcing them to close their doors.

More on Trump's dishonesty regarding his 'rhetoric':

                            https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...cid=spartandhp

'For days, President Donald Trump tried to disprove critics who said he was incapable of uniting the nation after mass shootings in Texas and Ohio last weekend reignited the anger and pain over gun violence.'

'He denounced the white supremacist ideas that officials say apparently influenced a Texas man to target Latinos at a Walmart on Saturday, killing 22 people. He said that “hatred and mental illness pull the trigger,” when speaking of El Paso and Dayton, where nine people died. Before heading to the stricken cities Wednesday, he told reporters that he “brings people together” and wanted to “stay out of the political fray.”'

'As the president met with victims, posed for photos and tweeted residents that “we love you!” hundreds of protesters were in the streets not far away, holding signs that said, “No assault weapons,” “Stand up to the NRA” and “We can end gun violence.” Another simple message also appeared frequently: “Do something.”'

'The diverging reactions to Trump’s visit revealed the sharp divisions in the nation.'

'Although he skipped memorials at shooting sites, the president said he would “come up with something that’s going to be really good” to combat gun violence. He didn’t say what that would be, aside from a vague promise of stronger background checks. He said there was no “political appetite” for a ban on assault rifles like those used in the killings.'

'Then he logged on to Twitter on Air Force One and lobbed insults at “failed” Democratic Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown and Democratic Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley. (Before leaving the White House, he also had sent a tweet slamming Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke, who has said the president’s racist remarks are to blame for violence.'

'The Trump visits Wednesday were the latest among his trips to mass shooting and disaster sites despite local opposition. In November, the president went to Paradise, Calif., after devastating damage from the Camp fire and anger over his inaccurate tweets criticizing fire management in the state.'

'Trump has faced the harshest critique for the El Paso shooting, where an anti-immigrant screed by the shooting suspect echoed similar language that the president has used to say there is an “invasion” of Latino immigrants. The motive for the Dayton shooting remained unclear, but Trump has tried to paint the gunman — who was killed by police at the scene — as an extreme leftist. A Twitter account that appears to be linked to the shooter retweeted anti-police posts and those in support of anti-fascists.'

                            https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/ma...cid=spartandhp

Trump is as unreliable as he is dishonest.

'President Donald Trump left Dayton saying Mayor Nan Whaley and Sen. Sherrod Brown “misrepresented” what happened when Trump visited with shooting survivors and first responders Wednesday at Miami Valley Hospital.'

'Trump tweeted at about 3:50 p.m.: “Just left Dayton, Ohio, where I met with the Victims & families, Law Enforcement, Medical Staff & First Responders. It was a warm & wonderful visit. Tremendous enthusiasm & even Love. Then I saw failed Presidential Candidate (0%) Sherrod Brown & Mayor Whaley totally …'

'“…misrepresenting what took place inside of the hospital. Their news conference after I left for El Paso was a fraud. It bore no resemblance to what took place with those incredible people that I was so lucky to meet and spend time with. They were all amazing,” Trump concluded.'

                            https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/07/polit...ton/index.html

President Donald Trump, his press secretary and his director of social media accused Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown and Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, both of whom are Democrats, of misrepresenting the reception Trump received from shooting victims during his visit to a Dayton hospital.'
'Facts First: This is false. While both Brown and Whaley criticized Trump's past rhetoric, they were only complimentary about his visit to the hospital.'

'At a press conference following their joint hospital visit with Trump, Brown said Trump was "received well by the patients," was "comforting" and "did the right things." At the press conference and in an interview with CNN, Whaley said victims were "grateful" to see Trump and that he was "treated well by the victims, for sure."'

'Brown did call Trump and his past rhetoric "racist." Whaley called Trump's past rhetoric "divisive" and said it was good he did not visit the district where the shooting occurred because of local "anger" about him.'

Trump's words and actions are pathetic.

Apparently the two targets for Trumps ire had actually praised and complimented his hospital visit.

The guy is not right in the head.
