  • Trump Denigrates an American City

Trump is showing himself to be a thoroughly despicable person:

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/27/polit...ore/index.html

'President Donald Trump attacked another prominent African American lawmaker on Saturday, tweeting that his Baltimore district is a "disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess."'

'Trump's morning tirade against Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, is the latest verbal assault against a minority member of Congress who is a frequent critic of the President. Two weekends ago, Trump -- in racist language that was later condemned by a House resolution -- told four progressive Democratic congresswomen of color to "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came." Three of the four were born in the US, and the fourth is a naturalized US citizen.'

'Trump attacked Cummings, 68, who is originally from Baltimore and represents Maryland's 7th Congressional District, for erupting at acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan over border conditions during a congressional hearing on July 18. Cummings' committee has also launched a number of investigations into the Trump administration related to Trump's finances and White House practices, including security clearances and Hatch Act violations.'

'The President on Saturday suggested that conditions in Cummings' district, which is majority black and includes parts of Baltimore, are "FAR WORSE and more dangerous" than those at the US-Mexico border.'
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts
Made weak by time and fate but strong in will
To strive to seek to find and not to yield.

    Trump tells truth about Baltimore.

BALTIMORE, MD Charm City is once again among America's "Rattiest Cities," according to a new report from pest control company Orkin, although it has shown progress in each of the past two years. Baltimore comes in at No. 9 on the company's 2018 rankings released Monday.

This is the fourth year that Orkin has compiled the rankings, which are based on the number of rodent treatments the company performed from Sept. 15, 2017 to Sept. 15, 2018. It includes both residential and commercial treatments.

Baltimore dropped one slot from last year, when it was ranked eighth; two years ago it was No. 6 on the Orkin list. The city has undertaken several rat control measures, including the issuance of municipal garbage cans to contain waste.

    BALTIMORE
Perhaps to what some might consider little surprise, Baltimore has made another dubious list of most dangerous cities in the country.

SafeWise, an organization that researches home security solutions, has published a list of the country's 10 most dangerous big cities -- and Baltimore ranks third behind St. Louis and Detroit.

"Baltimore is a big contributor to the state's violent crime rate, reporting a record-high homicide rate last year. With a homicide rate of 56 per 100,000 people, Baltimore beat out cities like Chicago and Detroit," SafeWise wrote.

The same list found Virginia Beach, Virginia; Honolulu, Hawaii; and Lexington, Kentucky as the top three of the country's 10 safest big cities.

Baltimore is "far worse" than almost all of the US Southern Border, if you included the Mexico side. If you exclude that, the Southern border is safer than Baltimore in terms of violent and serious felony crime. Cummings district is rife with serious crime, murders, poverty, and unsanitary conditions like rodent infestations.

So while Trump is just trolling Cummings, and the Democrats, his jabs were factually accurate. Worse, some Democrats, including Pelosi are now trying to say Trump is being "racist" over this. Their utter ignorance of what that word means is on display.

Cummings on the other hand, probably does need a slap down for how awful his $h!+hole of a district is. He shouldn't be pointing out the mote in God's eye with a beam in his own.

I really like that the majority of the American forum members are conservative Trump supporters. Makes me feel at home.

The leftist liberal Democratic Socialist Party is digging their hole deeper and deeper. They have been on an expensive witch hunt since Trump first declared his intentions to run for the presidency.

                  Interesting....
I'm very curious as to why certain American,, American Piedmont and coastal cities are in such decline, while others, such as the New England cities, seem to cope with the normal concerns and revitalise.

There seems to be a belt from the Potomac to the Hudson of once thriving cities ( Camden, Baltimore, etc ) which seem almost post apocalyptic? Yet Camdem was a centre of shipbuilding in both world wars...

                  Any ideas?

So, Don Lemon-- who I figured was going to be the talking head that makes the report -- plays the racism card in such an oblique fashion I'm surprised he didn't get whiplash.

Now the Progressive Left gets involved.

                          https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...cid=spartanntp

Note how all sorts of uber rich Progressives are jumping on the bandwagon over this. Most of them have never even been to Baltimore, and they certainly don't live there. Of course, there's the usual bigotry and racism towards Trump and Whites to go with it.

And now more of the MSM is piling on with the racism angle.

                          https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/mi...cid=spartanntp

In all of this, not one time does the Progressive Left admit that Baltimore has a major crime problem, massive poverty, and is largely dysfunctional. For them, none of that matters apparently.

The main card you and others played during Obama's term. Slippery slope you set. More recently, if a joke can be racist, then so can this tweet. Be careful of the standards you set.

Some of it is due to lose of the major industries, like auto making and shipbuilding, steel mills, textile plants and so forth. Some of it is bad government, and some of it is bad citizens.
